I will visit museums to learn more about Greek scientific inquiry and how that inquiry influenced Western civilizations. I will take photographs and collect information about climate.
I am a science teacher and would like to create lessons that compare climate issues that are affecting Greece with the climate issues affecting the US. For example, where I teach in New Jersey we are seeing an increase in precipitation as well as an increase in annual temperatures. In some preliminary climate research that I have conducted it seems that there is a decrease in precipitation in Greece. I would also use this experience to create lessons about scientific inquiry. The ancient Greeks were some of the first civilizations to try to understand the natural world around them.
I will do more research about the climate issues that affect Greece.
