GEEO programs are open to educators and their guests aged 18 and over, but our family programs welcome your children too. We believe teachers shouldn’t have to give up rewarding international travel after starting a family—and we love helping you introduce your kids to other cultures through experiences that broaden their horizons and bring their classroom learning to life. The minimum age varies by trip, but is usually 6 and over.

How it works
We add new family programs whenever a family reaches out about a destination they’d like to explore. There are a few ways we can make a trip happen:
- Adapt a scheduled trip from our programs list to accommodate your family, as long as everyone already registered is happy with the change.
- Create a brand-new trip around the dates that work for you, then open it up to other families and travelers on our website.
- Add you to our notification list so you hear about new family programs as soon as they launch.

Travel with G Adventures
Our partner tour operator, G Adventures, also offers Family trips designed specifically for families, with age-appropriate activities and hotels that know how to cater to kids. These Family departures welcome children as young as 6, and booking through GEEO means you may travel alongside families from all over the world—or we can build a GEEO teacher family program around any Family itinerary you prefer. If your children are at least 12, the age minimum for G Adventures’ regular tours, we can also send your family on essentially any trip in their broader catalog.
