Climate of the Middle East

Contributor :

Meg Colquhoun

Action Plan

Keep notes and send postcards back to the kids with the temperature on one of the days, so they will have an artifact from the region.

Pre-Departure Preparation

As part of the NGSS in third grade, we study world climates. I plan on having a unit that is connected to studying world climates, and art around the world. The students will use the data from Qatar and Oman to track climate and learn about art and culture from different parts of the world.

Preparation During Travel

We will begin researching climates in class before I go, we will also make predictions about climate in the Middle East versus here in the Pacific Northwest where we live.
