Take plenty of photos, record in a journal the daily details of the trip so I can give accurate and proper explanations to my students.
Pre-Departure Preparation
I teach about the development of Islam during the Middle Ages and we talk a lot about cultural diffusion. Morocco is a prime example of how over time a place can be greatly influenced by its history and various conquerors/rulers. I plan on sharing my photos with students and giving them “primary source” evidence of this cultural diffusion in a predominantly Muslim territory.
