Private & University Programs

While GEEO is best known for our teacher groups, we also offer private travel programs in addition to the programs listed on our website. We can organize private trips for individuals/families, organizations, and universities (but not primary/secondary schools). We can offer any of the itineraries currently in our catalog, as well as many other itineraries that our partner G Adventures runs.

The process begins with the group leader (e.g., faculty or administrator) working with GEEO to choose the appropriate itinerary for the group. We then provide a private link that prospective participants can use to view the program details and learn how to prepare for their trip.

GEEO still provides our private groups with attentive customer service (7 days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), discounted pricing, and many other services to make the process affordable, enjoyable, and easy for everyone involved. We also provide one free spot if there are eleven or more paying participants.

For more information or references, please email travel@geeo.org or call us at 1-877-600-0105.

We have used GEEO for several study tours for K-12 educators who are alumni of the National Consortium for Teaching About Asia program, and have been impressed by GEEO’s flexibility and willingness to work with our requirements for our participants. GEEO and their G-Adventures guides handle all the logistics for the trips, leaving our faculty leader free to focus on content and pedagogical applications for our teachers. The trips also benefit from a nice balance of organized group tours and free time or optional activities, giving our teachers time to really dive into on-the-ground experiences of a country.

Since 2014, UT’s South Asia Institute has partnered with GEEO to create affordable, meaningful opportunities for K-12 educators to travel abroad. GEEO meets the demand of educators who want a quality travel experience that is tailored to the specific interests and needs of educators. After our journeys, the educators we serve always report enthusiastically about their return to school equipped with new curriculum resources and a greater understanding of the world.

Miami Valley School ran an Ecuador and Galápagos Immersion Trip with GEEO for 20 students. It was a very well structured trip, with a lot of flexibility and cool optional activities. Having a contact person in the USA, who was available 24-7, was very comforting. It was a pleasure to work with GEEO, and we cannot wait to go back and plan another trip with GEEO.
