Action Plan

Take as many photos and videos as possible! Try my best to keep a daily journal/log of my experiences and note how they apply to the topics I teach.

Pre-Departure Preparation

Show students real-life examples of everything I teach them about Africa and incorporate my experiences into the educational process I have already designed this past school year. Topics include The 5 Themes of Geography, the physical geography and cultures of Africa, current events/issues in Africa, and African country reports. I would like to create my own country reports for each of the four countries I visit by completing the same powerpoint I assign my students.

Preparation During Travel

I will research some of the data I need to incorporate into each country report such as population, land area, physical geography, history, etc. so I am better able to keep an eye out for applicable photo/video opportunities while traveling.
