I will ask locals, including my homestay family, about their practices as they related to Buddhism.
I am going to use my experiences and knowledge gained on the trip to develop and implement lessons on Tibetan Buddhism to use in a unit on comparative religions. Students will learn about the nuances of Tibetan Buddhism and the cultural differences that this type of Buddhism has fostered in order to create a project analyzing varying forms of eastern philosophy.
I will be researching the basics of Tibetan Buddhism and will read the autobiography of the Dalai Lama.
