The Roman Empire in Morocco

Contributor :

Nandini Sinh

Action Plan

I will discuss with the CEO about the visit to Volubilis to make the most out of the excursion. I will purchase authentic handmade artifacts for investigation in the classroom, as well as a lot of image documentation. I will look for Roman influences in Volubilis, as well evidence of decline and change.

Pre-Departure Preparation

For global history the visit to Volubilis will be invaluable for collecting authentic materials for a lesson to show the extent of the Roman Empire. Students will investigate what being a part of the Roman Empire meant to the farther reaches of the empire, and will compare Volubilis to Hadrian’s Wall in Britain.

Preparation During Travel

I will research how being a part of the Roman empire affected conquered lands.
