Plate Tectonics

Contributor :

Nicholas Mills

Action Plan

I will bring both geology books and a camera with me on my trip. I will ask locals to point out good examples of volcanic activity/history of the area.

Pre-Departure Preparation

Part of the curriculum that I teach is on plate tectonics. I am going to search out and take pictures of things such as volcanoes, volcanic rock, and difference between the island showing how the plate is moving via the erosion on different islands.

Preparation During Travel

I will look at geology books on the Galapagos.
