I will try to visit a school, if possible, to show my students what school is like in Morocco. I will take a lot of pictures to bring back to my classroom. I will look for children’s books to purchase while I am there.
Pre-Departure Preparation
As a reading intervention teacher, I will find reading resources (books, articles, etc.) about Morocco. I will plan a unit around Morocco’s history, culture, etc. and use my pictures to support what we are reading. If possible, I would love to see a school in Morocco and provide pictures of what school life is like in Morocco.
Preparation During Travel
I will see what children’s books are available from my library about Morocco and/or muslim customs.
