I will collect photographs of modern Jordan and take notes on stories of Jordanian life I encounter on the trip.
I teach modern US history from the year 1900 to the present day. I would like to be able to discuss integrate lessons on current events related to modern Arab countries such as the Arab Spring and the refugee crisis in my units related to recent current day events. I'd like to get insight into modern Jordan through travel throughout the country as well as collecting photographs and stories about life in Jordan today. I'm also interested in any signs and information on the impact of imperialism on the country since I cover that topic as well.
I will locate and reading nonfiction books about modern Jordan or Jordanian history prior to my travel.
