I will take lots of photos of the Silk Road markets, people, products, foods, monuments, and architecture, some landscape videos, and purchase some artifacts for the lesson.
I will take photos of Uzbekistan, especially the Silk Road markets, and let student infer why this might be considered a cross roads area. I intend to return to my school with artifacts that can demonstrate the different layers of cultural influence Uzbekistan has experienced, students will investigate if the natural process of cultural diffusion or selective borrowing has occurred. Students will do a reflective writing assignment about globalization, in the ancient world as compared to globalization in the modern world.
I will read and research Uzbekistan's early history and culture, and the subsequent cultures of Uzbekistan.
