Action Plan

I will visit with families I meet to discuss their experiences and attitudes about school, teachers and disability. I will collect photos, music, clothing, spices and other artifacts that might help my students with their lessons.

Pre-Departure Preparation

I teach students with significant disabilities. Many of their families were born in India. I plan to use photographs to create adapted readers. I also plan to collect a variety of artifacts to provide multi-sensory lessons. I hope to gain insights from the trip that will help me better serve the families of my students.

Preparation During Travel

I will research reading, world geography, world history, art, math and science standards that I could address through materials and experiences collected during the trip.
