Pre-Departure Preparation
In 7th grade math, students learn about rates and ratios. It would make sense to incorporate a lesson involving foreign exchange rates and budgeting for a trip or to live in those countries. Students could learn about the average income in Vietnam and Cambodia, and what living standard that would imply, and compare that with the average income in the US and our standard of living.
