I will take photographs of the desert as well as the High Atlas Mountains. I will also journal about what the climate feels like in the desert compared to near the ocean.
I am an Earth Science teacher, and I teach about climates in different parts of the world. I plan to use the climate of Morocco in my unit, and plan to use photos that I take (especially in the Sahara desert) to enhance my lessons. In addition, I teach about plate tectonics. I'd like to use pictures of the High Atlas Mountains to get the students wondering about plate movement in this part of the world.
I will research why Morocco has a desert climate as well as how the High Atlas Mountains formed.
