Whenever appropriate, I will ask people we meet (especially women) questions about their experiences with gender roles, gender expectations, veiling, how this has shifted over time, etc. I will take pictures with the people I speak to (with their permission) so that I can make them more real to my students when I share their perspectives during our unit.
I will do research on the history of veiling in Jordan as well as look for articles or blog posts where women explain their experience and perspective of gender in Jordan.
