Action Plan
I will do my best to try as many different local foods as possible.
Pre-Departure Preparation
I would like to teach my students about the local food in Ecuador and on the Galapagos Islands. The food unit in our text describes Mexican food in detail. As I can reasonably assume that most students have background knowledge in Mexican cuisine, I would like for them to understand that Spanish-speaking countries have a wide array of cuisine and Mexican good is not the only type. During the food unit I hope to be able to have a food day where students make the simpler recipes and our class (and possibly others) are able to partake.
Preparation During Travel
I will need to research the different foods in Ecuador and especially research cuisine of the Galapagos Islands.
