Mang Thao
I am going to be shooting a lot of pictures. My students are mostly interested in how teenagers are in India and how they live. They want to know if they are like the students here in the United States. If not, then how are they different, but yet similar. They are curious about the food, so I am going to have to try the food and experience as much as I can to really bring back the way of life of an Indian student versus and American student.
I am a World Geography teacher and I teach a great deal about the eight Cultural Universals. I want to include on my trip the universals. I want to be able to capture images that relate to their religion, languages, dress, way of life, government, games, education, food, and many other aspects that relate to their culture. I hope to develop a presentation revolving around these cultural universals.
I will need to watch many Indian videos and read many books about the Indian culture, so I know what to look for when I am in the country. I need to familiarize myself with their way of life, and to look for many cultural aspects of their culture.
