I will need to keep records of my location and the weather, also noting what is “normal.” When we travel to Sarapiqui Rainforest and Monteverde, I will pay close attention to how those areas are affected by weather, climate, and tourism.
I am looking at climate, weather, and environmental protection. I will relate this to our unit of heating curve of water and gas laws. I will also be able to share what I learn with the other science teachers, specifically APES.
I have already started to look at how the topography and geographic location gives Costa Rica it's climate. I am also researching Costa Rica's environmental protection plan and how tourism is contributing to its promotion.
