I plan on taking lots of pictures and videos and I’d like to look for artifacts to help my students get a better understanding of the area.
Pre-Departure Preparation
I teach 5th grade and they love learning about animals, biomes, climate and geography! I’d like my students to do research on the Amazon rainforest and my pictures and videos could supplement their research! Students will research different elements such as animals (mammals/reptiles/birds etc…), climate, geography and culture and then present to the rest of the class and other classes.
Preparation During Travel
I will research the area of the Amazon and to make sure I know what to look for when I’m on the boat!
