Amazing Race

Action Plan

I will be taking notes throughout our journey and photos to document each stop.

Pre-Departure Preparation

Last year Kevin Donnelly and I created a “mini-mester”, a week long course, called GeoAdventure, based on the TV show The Amazing Race. The girls virtually raced around several parts of the world completing tasks that taught them about culture, language, and the natural environment of each region. Students learned how these factors influence each other and help shape different societies. One of the regions we had the girls explore was central Asia. Students virtually visited several places in the region including the Aral Sea, Bakinour, and Tash Rabat. Students also learned the currency and capital of each of the Stans.

Preparation During Travel

I am prepared to learn more about the region through hands-on and real life experience.
