Turn Classroom Into Galapagos

Contributor :

Action Plan

I will take lots of pictures of the animals and plants on the islands to help students with understanding the habitat of the islands and animals. The pictures will also help students be able to recreate the animals at school to put up around the classroom.

Pre-Departure Preparation

Each year we do a multi-cultural day, where each classroom picks a different country to research and turn their classroom into that county. This year I would like to do the Galapagos Islands. I will have students research the islands, learn about the wild life there and the work that Charles Darwin did. The students will turn our classroom into the Galapagos islands as well as do a research report on the Galapagos Islands.

Preparation During Travel

I will research the different types of animals and habits of the islands and review Charles Darwin's work.
