I will take photos, collect appropriate artifacts and document supporting information.
I teach first grade and one of our standards that we cover is to compare physical and human characteristics of a local place far away on a globe or map. We call this Me on the Map and we want students to understand other places more deeply. This trip will give me a deeper understanding of a new place that I can share with my students to enhance their understanding.
I will develop an outline of things that I hope to document and take photos of to share with students.
