I will photograph and make video blogs of community features found in the areas we are scheduled to visit. Examples include: landmarks, schools, buildings, hospitals, vegetation, grocery stores/markets, wildlife, streets, homes, hotels, etc.
I am an English Language Learner teacher with a globally focused teaching practice. I would like to share features of the communities we visit in Jordan with my entire school. Through photographs, video blogs and a community connection (Skype), students will compare and contrast communities in Jordan with our community. Additionally, I would like to share Jordanian children's books with students and engage in an art lesson focused on Jordanian culture. Students will also become familiar with Jordanian landmarks and landforms focusing on their cultural significance. (art lesson). Students will study Jordanian mosaics and create mosaic piece to represent what they have learned.
