Action Plan

I will make a point to visit various Holocaust and World War II historical sites in the relevant cities that we visit. I’ll take photos when permitted and collect relevant literature to bring back to share with students.

Pre-Departure Preparation

I am a school librarian and plan to work with the 5th grade teacher during her unit on the Holocaust and World War II. During library time, I’ll teach one or two mini lessons on the Holocaust and World War II to supplement the classroom teacher’s instruction. I’ll share photos of relevant Holocaust and World War II historical sites from our trip. Moreover, I’ll share relevant pamphlets and mementos that I collect during the trip.

Preparation During Travel

I am researching Holocaust history in the countries we are visiting. Moreover, I’m reading Holocaust literature and watching relevant films.
