I will be visiting any agricultural areas such as vineyards and lavender fields. I will ask questions about what is done to preserve the environment.
Pre-Departure Preparation
I teach environmental science and one of the big themes is trade offs between what humans need and what the environment needs. When I visit Burgundy, I hope to learn more about the agriculture of that region (human needs) and how it is balanced and sustainable with the needs of the environment.
Preparation During Travel
I will learn more about this region and the winemaking practices.
