I will take pictures, collect artifacts, record my experiences and impressions in a journal, and share ideas with fellow travelers.
I would like my students to learn about the legacies of British imperialism and possibly compare British policies in Myanmar to those in other regions they ruled like India. I am also interested in having my students see how Buddhism is practiced in Myanmar compared to other parts of Asia. Lastly, I would like to create lessons on the modern day struggles of Myanmar (religious conflict, struggle for democracy, etc.).
I plan to do some of the recommended reading and watch documentaries about Myanmar.
