Clothing
Pack lightweight, quick-dry clothing that mixes and matches easily and is in neutral colors (tan, khaki, olive). Bring enough for about a week. Pack at least one pair of pants. Layer strategically and check the weather and itinerary sections to be realistic about what you'll actually need.
Daypack and waterproof cover
You will need one large enough to carry your possessions when camping—a collapsable duffel bag can be used instead
Walking shoes
One good pair of broken-in, comfortable, sturdy walking shoes is essential
Sport sandals or flip-flops
Water activities, hotel floors, or just to keep your feet cool and comfortable
Sun protection
Sun block, sunglasses, hat

Including: lip salve, Aspirin, bandaids, anti-histamine, Dramamine, Imodium (or similar), electrolyte powder, insect repellent, water purification tablets, extra prescription drugs you may be taking
