Hello, Educators!

We hope you are doing well and staying healthy. The past two years have been hard on everyone in innumerable ways. With Omicron in decline, many countries that have been closed to travelers throughout the pandemic have started opening. We believe that travel conditions are getting better every day and feel confident in running spring, summer, and winter break programs in 2022. We hope you will join us for a much-needed vacation!

Traveling as Safely as Possible During the Pandemic

Traveling the world with like-minded educators gives us so much inspiration, lifelong memories, real-world insight into the subjects we teach, and even a mental health boost. The pandemic has also put a damper on travel plans for many of us, but the world is learning to live with COVID-19 and get back to something similar to our pre-pandemic lifestyles. By the time spring break arrives, we’re hopeful that the global trend of Omicron cases will continue: many countries around the world have reached their peak, and case numbers are beginning to decline.

Since March 2020, the GEEO team has poured countless hours into collecting advice from epidemiologists on how to travel as safely as possible. While it’s impossible to completely eliminate all risk, we will continue to proceed carefully in 2022 and adjust our plans throughout the year to keep our travelers as safe as possible. While this pandemic is still a factor, all GEEO participants are required to:

  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before departing and have written proof of vaccination
  • Comply with in-country safety requirements including testing, contact tracing, and masking
  • Follow your tour leader’s safety guidance once you join the GEEO group

We also strongly recommend that all our travelers speak to their doctors about getting a booster shot and use high-quality KN95 masks. See where we get our masks and read all our health and safety guidelines here.

Multi-Trip Discount: 10% off GEEO Programs

Did you know that you can get up to 10% off multiple GEEO trips?! If you book two or more GEEO programs in the same school year, you will receive 10% off of the lesser value program (up to 3 programs). If these bookings are made during a sale period (5% or 8% sales) you will receive the sale period discount on the most expensive of the programs you booked and then 10% off of each additional lesser value program.

Alumni, don’t forget that we also have an Educator Referral Program in which you can earn a $100 credit toward your travel program for each new-to-GEEO teacher you refer. See all the details here.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us from 9 AM to 9 PM ET, 7 days a week at 1-877-600-0105. You can also email us.
